7th Asian Savate Championships | Kathmandu, Nepal | 1–3 May 2026
The 7th Asian Savate Championships were successfully held in Kathmandu, Nepal, from 1 to 3 May 2026, following a one-day International Refereeing Seminar conducted before the competition. The seminar was led by Gilles Le Duigou in the absence of Anna Khosravi, Head of Asian Officials.

The championship was hosted by the Nepal Savate Association with technical and official support from the Fédération Internationale de Savate (FISav) and the Asian Savate Confederation, and in Collaboration with the Nepal Sports Council. The event witnessed participation from around 300 athletes representing nine countries across Asia and Oceania, reinforcing the growing global footprint of Savate. India proudly secured 2nd position overall among the participating nations.

🌏 Championship Overview
The competition brought together strong national contingents from India, Nepal, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, New Zealand, and other participating nations under the supervision of the International Referee Commission.
India delivered a strong performance to finish second overall, behind host nation Nepal, and ahead of several top Asian delegations including Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and New Zealand.
Host nation Nepal topped the medal tally, followed by India in second place and Indonesia securing third position overall. Uzbekistan was awarded the Disciplined Team Trophy.

The championship concluded successfully with strong appreciation from international officials. Gilles Le Duigou praised the high standard of organisation and highlighted India’s growing capability for great performance in major international Savate events.
The Indian delegation expressed pride in the overall performance and reaffirmed its commitment to further development and excellence in Savate at the Asian and global levels.
