The Savate Association – India (SAI) is the official national governing body responsible for the development, promotion, and regulation of Savate (French Boxing) across India. Recognized internationally and affiliated with the Fédération Internationale de Savate (FISav) and the Asian Savate Confederation, SAI represents India at global and continental platforms.

Our mission is to build a strong and structured ecosystem for Savate in India by nurturing talent, promoting grassroots participation, and ensuring high standards of coaching, officiating, and competition.

 

What We Do

  • Organize National Championships, ranking events, and selection trials
  • Prepare and manage the Indian National Savate Team for international competitions
  • Conduct coaching camps, referee seminars, and technical workshops
  • Develop Savate at the grassroots, state, and institutional levels
  • Promote Savate as a modern, disciplined, and dynamic combat sport.
  • Run a nationwide free self-defence program for girls and boys every Sunday through Savate training.
  • Promote and develop Canne de Combat, focusing on coordination, precision, and traditional French martial arts discipline

The Savate Association – India is led by experienced professionals dedicated to the growth of the sport. Under the leadership of Adv. Navjot Barjot, who serves as a key representative of India at international forums and holds leadership roles within the Asian Savate Confederation, the association continues to achieve new milestones.
